I am finally reaching a point that I feel like I can’t provide enough stimulation for my daughter and decided to join in some more classes with her. City of Fremont provides Tiny Tots classes for children as young as 12 months. I decided to sign up for the 18 months to 24 months class. I like classes that require parent participation, I feel in this way I can interact with my daughter and provide her some interactions with similar age kids under proper parent supervision (I am such a control freak).
The class started out with circle time of singing songs and reading a story, and then quickly moved on to arts and crafts. This day a paper bag lion was made… mostly by mom, but my daughter did help out on putting couple of dots on the paper.
After that they all went outside to the playground to play, there are slides, bikes, and water table. My daughter and another little girl had their eye set on the same car, after both of them pet the car enough, the little girl decided to go on ahead and hop onto the car. Her grandma started to apologize to me for the little girl taking the car all to herself. I didn’t feel that she needed to apologize; I told her not to worry and proceeded to guide my daughter to push the car for the little girl instead. My daughter happily did that, I feel proud for myself for resolving this minor conflict in guiding my daughter to play cooperatively in this situation, I feel like I taught her good social skill, LOL, even though she probably didn’t learn anything from it.
Now my daughter also gets a turn on the car.
